Job summary

Bartlett is seeking an entry-level Mill Operator in Jordan Mills, MB. This role introduces you to the crush plant environment with hands-on daily operations and growth opportunities in a diversified company.

You will handle soybeans, assist in oil extraction, and prepare shipments to customers. The job requires reading English, physical stamina, and weekend/off-hour availability. Bartlett offers strong benefits and uniforms/PPE to support safe, productive work.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 diploma or GED.
• Experience in a processing plant, refinery, mill, or elevator is preferred.
• Available to work off hours and weekends.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English.
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications).
• Able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, moving, cleaning and storing of soybeans.
• Operate equipment to extract oil from soybeans.
• Prepare and load soybean oil and meal into trucks for delivery to customers.
• Assist in loading, unloading, and processing of soybeans.
• Clean equipment and plant.
• Complete Safety, Quality and Production documentation.
• Participate in safety inspections/meetings and corrective actions.
• Participate in maintenance as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Basics

The Mill Operator is an entry-level role designed to introduce Team Members to the dynamic crush plant environment and learning to provide hands-on support to daily operations

Location: Jordan Mills, MB

Compensation: $24/hr and up, shift premium applies

Days/Hours: We are hiring for the midnight to noon shift in a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off pattern. You will work both days one weekend, then have the next weekend off.

Equipment Used: Various equipment and machinery to

• Receive, move and store soybeans
• Extract and refine soybean oil
• Ship soybean oil and soybean meal

Material Handled: Bulk soybeans, soybean meal, soybean oil
