Canada Malting in Beiseker, Alberta, is seeking an Elevator Operator to help receive and load out grain safely and efficiently under the Elevator Manager. This role supports traceability and quality in our malt production operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in grain handling, food processing, or manufacturing is an asset.
• High mechanical aptitude demonstrated through apprenticeship or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and load out of grain in a safe, efficient, and traceable manner.
• Bin grain varieties and trace.
• Loadout grain varieties and trace.
• Safe operations in all weather conditions.
• Elevator maintenance and housekeeping.
• Other routine duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all food safety, quality, and health & safety policies and procedures to ensure safe, compliant products.
• Some travel between sites may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Elevator Manager, the Elevator Operator is responsible for receiving and load out of grain in a safe, efficient, and traceable manner.

• Bin grain varieties and trace
• Loadout grain varieties and trace
• Safe operations in all weather conditions
• Elevator maintenance and housekeeping
• Other routine duties as assigned
• Adhere to all company food safety, quality, and health and safety policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulatory requirements, to ensure safe work practices and the production of safe, compliant products.
• Some travel between sites may be required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in grain handling, food processing or manufacturing considered an asset.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude through apprenticeship or job related experience.
• Previous safety training an asset.
• Excellent communication and written skills.
• Ability to work alone or in a group.
• Positive attitude and self-starter

EDUCATION

• High school diploma. Preference will be given to those applicants with post-secondary education
