Job summary

Canpotex in Saskatoon is seeking a Coordinator, Railcar Maintenance to ensure fleet reliability and availability. You will coordinate maintenance activities, monitor railcars, and work with railways, facilities, and internal teams to keep our operations moving across the network.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or diploma in a related field and 3–5 years of experience in a safety-sensitive environment, plus willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or Engineering with 3–5 years of related experience.
• Experience in a safety-sensitive, industrial, or transportation environment is an asset.
• Ability to travel and work non-traditional business hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate railcar maintenance activities to support fleet reliability and availability.
• Monitor and track bad-order railcars, maintenance requirements, repair status, and fleet activity using operational systems and reporting tools.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities and work progress with railways, maintenance facilities, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
• Support railcar movement and billing activities related to maintenance, repair, and refurbishment programs.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation to support planning, compliance, and decision-making.
• Monitor work completion, follow up on outstanding activities, and support timely issue resolution.
• Escalate issues that may impact fleet availability, maintenance performance, or operational objectives.
