Job summary

Kardium Inc. is seeking an experienced payroll & benefits specialist to join our hybrid Burnaby team. You will manage end-to-end payroll for Canada and the US, maintain Dayforce data, and ensure regulatory compliance across regions.

This role supports the accounting function and collaborates with Talent on payroll-impacting changes. With 5+ years in payroll, you will handle quarter- and year-end tasks, assist with inquiries, and help maintain accurate general ledger postings while contributing

Qualifications

• 5+ years payroll & benefits experience in a complex environment.
• Experience with Dayforce HRIS.
• Knowledge of Canada/US payroll regulations and tax requirements.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting or HR.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees in Canada, US, and planned expansion.
• Maintain and audit payroll data in Dayforce, including profiles, pay types, and shift rules.
• Investigate and resolve payroll system issues and integrations.
• Reconcile payroll and benefits to the general ledger with proper cost centers.
• Ensure regulatory payroll compliance across operating regions and tax requirements.
• Assist with quarter-end tasks and year-end tax forms and reporting.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Talent to validate changes affecting payroll.
• Support internal and external audits with proper documentation.
