Job summary

KioCafé is seeking a Global Human Resources Manager to oversee HR operations across Canada, the United States, and China. The role balances strategic HR initiatives with day-to-day administration, ensuring compliant practices and consistent policies across locations.

The ideal candidate has multi-country experience, strong knowledge of employment laws, and the ability to lead talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and workforce planning in a growing tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience including HR Manager/HRBP roles.
• Experience across multiple countries or jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law; working knowledge of U.S. laws.
• Experience coordinating HR in China with local teams or advisors.
• Experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage priorities across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day HR operations across Canada, the United States, and China.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws in each country.
• Develop and maintain global HR policies and procedures.
• Manage employee records and HR documentation.
• Partner with external legal counsel on employment matters.
• Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes.
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle and onboarding across locations.
• Support workforce planning and restructuring across regions.
• Coordinate background checks and immigration requirements where applicable.
• Lead performance review processes and employee development programs.
• Coach managers on engagement and leadership practices.
• Manage terminations and organizational changes per local legislation.
• Oversee payroll coordination across all three countries.
• Administer benefits programs and annual compensation reviews.
• Promote HR projects related to growth and organizational development.
• Support leadership development and career progression initiatives.
• Promote consistent HR practices across regions.
