Job summary

Scotiabank in Toronto, Canada, is seeking a Manager for Global Compliance and AML Strategic Support to drive strategic initiatives across compliance and AML programs. The role concentrates on analytical support, planning, and executive-level materials to inform decision-making and business objectives.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to advance priorities, ensure regulatory alignment, and coordinate governance activities for the Audit & Conduct Review Committee

Qualifications

• University degree in Business is desirable.
• 3+ years of experience in strategic roles in banking/financial services.
• Experience supporting senior management is an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Expert-level Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong presentation design and ability to distill complex concepts.
• Thrives in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in Spanish is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a trusted partner in developing executive materials, analyses, and presentations for senior leadership decision-making and governance.
• Partners with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to advance strategic initiatives and monitor priorities.
• Coordinates materials for Audit & Conduct Review Committee (ACRC) and Board meetings, including content consolidation and submission.
• Supports governance and decision-support activities through synthesis of complex information and insights for leadership discussions.
• Supports enterprise talent programs and leadership events, aiding workforce planning and development.
• Plans and executes large-scale employee engagement initiatives and leadership events to strengthen culture.
• Develops strategic briefing materials and meeting plans for executive travel and engagements.
• Incorporates the Bank's risk appetite and culture into daily activities and decisions.
• Promotes high-performance and inclusive work environment.
