Job summary

Scotiabank in Toronto is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (AML Finance) to lead forecasting, reporting, and analysis of operating expenses for AML. You will collaborate with AML stakeholders and finance teams to deliver timely financial insights and credible plans.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, AML Finance, you will maintain forecasting models, prepare journals, and provide financial insights to support decision-making and resource allocation across AML and Compliance finance

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; professional designation an asset.
• 3-5 years of experience in Accounting or FP&A.
• Experience with Hyperion (Tier 4), Anaplan, and Power BI preferred.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with large financial models.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely completion of financial performance reports and commentary on trends and variances for multiple audiences.
• Maintain and enhance forecasting models, reasonability analysis files, GL details, and decks for monthly/quarterly reports for AML and Finance teams.
• Complete journal entries and accruals as needed in source systems and EGL.
• Load forecast and plan updates into systems including Tier 4 and Anaplan.
• Review business line allocations for AML transits in the Global Intra Group Services Tool (GIST).
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and quality of information for planning, forecasting, reporting, and allocations.
• Assist the Senior Manager, AML Finance, with reporting and analysis activities related to AML.
