Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Analyst, GBM&T Global Central Compliance (Contract until March 2028) to support risk assessment, issues management and regulatory obligations across the global program, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies. You will collaborate with regional teams, leverage AI-enabled tools, PowerBI and IBM OpenPages, and contribute to a globally aligned compliance program while advancing automation and process improvements.

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or related field.
• Experience supporting GBM&T in a Compliance or similar role at a major financial institution would be an asset.
• Experience with AI tools and prompts to enhance program efficiency.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills with the ability to influence.
• Team-player who contributes to a cohesive team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to document processes independently.
• Ability to learn complex processes quickly in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong organizational/recordkeeping skills.
• AI-tool expertise – experience with Microsoft Copilot would be asset.
• PowerBI skills is advantageous.
• Experience with IBM OpenPages would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Supports independent execution of NIRA and TPRM processes with timely assessments and reporting.
• Supports CRCA and regulatory obligations programs and monthly risk reporting.
• Assists in Regulatory Library oversight and Change Management activities.
• Supports Triennial Reviews of regulatory obligations with ROOP and audit-ready records.
• Contributes to automation and AI-enabled improvements across workflows.
