Job summary

Interfor is offering a GIS Intern position at Adams Lake, British Columbia. This on-site internship provides hands-on experience in applying GIS to forestry and operational projects, with a focus on spatial data to support decisions. The 4 to 8 month term begins in May.

You will work with experienced professionals, gain practical skills, and contribute to data accuracy and efficiency. Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in GIS or related field and familiar with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or diploma in GIS, Geography, Forestry, Environmental Science, or related program.
• Experience with ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, or ArcGIS Online; comfortable using Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to analyze information and communicate findings clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Ownership of high‑quality, timely work and ability to solve problems independently.
• Interest in how spatial data supports broader operational and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and analyze maps and spatial data used in real-world decision making.
