AgeCare is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to deliver professional nursing care to residents and to guide Personal Support Workers on the care team. You will collaborate with the Registered Nurse to implement unit policies and contribute to procedure revisions while liaising with physicians and other health professionals.

In the RN’s absence you will promptly notify the physician of any significant changes in resident status, ensuring care needs are met.

Formación

• Geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing background.
• Knowledge of applicable acts and regulations (e.g., Health Disciplines Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Pharmacy Act, Food and Drugs Act).
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and good standing.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to implement AgeCare policies on the unit.
• Provide input into revision of procedures within the residence and unit.
• Liaise with physicians and other health care team members including external partners.
• In RN absence, notify physician of significant changes in resident status.
• Work with health care team to ensure residents' care needs are met.
• Provide direction to Personal Support Workers on the care team.
• Participate in shift reports to inform team of changes in resident status.
