AgeCare is seeking an Occupational Therapy Aide to assist in delivering therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will help implement care plans, adjust wheelchairs, and manage equipment inventory while supporting training and education for residents.

The role involves assisting in assessment, planning, and delivery of therapy programs, with repairs/adjustments to mobility aids and clerical duties as required.

Qualificações

• Strong verbal and written communication with diverse population.
• Experience in continuing care/gerontology preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check or be willing to obtain one.
• Advocating for the role of occupational therapy to improve residents' lives.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with implementation of care plans, wheelchair adjustments and equipment inventory.
• Assist the therapist in providing training and education to residents.
• Contribute to assessment, planning, implementation and ongoing delivery of therapy programs.
• Perform repairs and adjustments on wheelchairs/walkers to meet goals.
• Provide clerical support to the department and handle related admin tasks.
• Participate in creating a safe environment promoting resident safety.
