Job summary

AgeCare is seeking a Therapy Aide to assist in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating therapeutic recreation programs for residents. You will work with the Resident Care Team to promote independence and engagement at each resident’s highest functioning level.

Responsibilities include collaborating with the Recreation Therapist, assisting with admissions, developing individualized activities, and ensuring safe transportation for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support identification of resident needs and preferences through observation and data collection.
• Assist with Recreation Therapy admission assessments and activity planning.
• Collaborate with Recreation Therapist and care team to share resident information.
• Help develop and deliver individualized and group recreation programs aligned with goals.
• Ensure safe and timely transportation of residents and staff, including route planning.
