Job summary

Manitoba Hydro seeks a Geospatial Data Services Section Head to lead geomatics, GIS data management, and related services. You will supervise staff, set strategic goals, and coordinate with internal clients and external agencies.

Applicants should have a geomatics degree or equivalent, with leadership experience and strong ESRI/eGIS familiarity. A Manitoba driver’s licence is required for field coordination and site visits.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in geomatics with leadership experience.
• Strong communication with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in geomatics engineering for corporate needs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Geographic Information Officers and Technical Assistants.
• Oversee geospatial data management, acquisition, QA, and dissemination.
• Coordinate with other departments and external agencies on GIS data.
• Lead budgeting, planning, and resource forecasting for the group.
• Provide geomatics consulting to define solutions for clients.
