POSITION SUMMARYThe General Manager will oversee all aspects of our business operations, driving digital growth, revenue expansion, retail development, and team leadership. Reporting directly to the President, this role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or related industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing P&L, driving sales strategies, building high-performing teams, and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
Digital Growth & E-Commerce Expansion- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to increase online visibility, website traffic, and conversion rates.
- Optimize website engagement to ensure a seamless and positive user experience.
- Implement and monitor paid advertising campaigns (Google Ads, social media, SEO) to drive sales growth.
- Scale the company’s presence on digital marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Shopify) while maintaining brand integrity.
Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy- Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets by diversifying digital and retail revenue streams.
- Develop a robust sales strategy informed by market trends, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
- Build sales plans across Canada, the US, and international markets, focusing on both digital and retail channels.
Retail Partner Development- Strengthen relationships with existing retail partners through tailored support, co-op opportunities, and performance reviews.
- Develop new partnerships with health food stores, pharmacies, and professional practitioners to expand the brand footprint.
- Launch a standardized retail training program to educate partners on the value and benefits of the product line.
Brand Positioning & Awareness- Enhance the brand’s positioning as a trusted Canadian company through strategic digital marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with influencers, bloggers, and healthcare professionals to build credibility and expand brand awareness.
- Represent the brand at industry events, expos, and conferences to build partnerships and generate leads.
Operational Excellence & Team Leadership- Lead cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, logistics, and customer service) to align on strategic goals and execution plans.
- Use data-driven decision-making to measure ROI and optimize strategies.
- Build and mentor a high-performing team to achieve short-term sales goals and long-term growth objectives.
- Manage budgets effectively to ensure profitability.
Regulatory Compliance & Market Adaptation- Ensure all products meet Health Canada regulations and maintain the highest quality standards.
- Align operational processes with GMP SOPs to adhere to Health Canada licensing requirements.
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS- Proven experience in a managerial role with strong leadership presence.
- Effective decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in generating reports and delivering informative presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain financial plans and manage P&L.
- Proven ability to motivate teams, hold employees accountable, and drive productivity.
- Strong working knowledge of operational procedures, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proactive nature, effective delegation, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literate with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
