Aramark in Chapleau, ON seeks a General Maintenance Worker for a brand-new remote lodge opening near Chapleau. You’ll perform maintenance and repair of remote camp buildings and grounds, joining a team launching a new operation and supporting safety and reliability on site.

Work includes furnace, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and kitchen equipment upkeep, with 14 days on/14 days off rotations and 10 or 12-hour shifts. On-site meals, accommodations, and benefits are provided.

Competenze

• Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract are required.
• Remote camp experience is mandatory.
• WHMIS certification is mandatory; First Aid certification is an asset.
• Strong customer service and time management skills are essential.
• Ability to travel and endure long rotations away from home.

Exciting opportunity! ARAMARK Remote Workplace Services is hiring General Maintenance Worker for a brand-new remote lodge opening near Chapleau, Ontario at the end of November. Join our team and play a key role in launching this exciting new operation.

About the Role

The General Maintenace Worker is responsibilities for performing a variety of work including the maintenance and repair of remote camp repairs, buildings and grounds in assigned area(s). Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

All candidates selected for hire must successfully complete:

• Pre-employment Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing
• Criminal background check

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable and responsible for maintaining a culture focused on having Safety as a value
• Shall attend all safety meetings and participate in Client and/or Aramark Emergency Response Procedures
• General maintenance of furnace repair and maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, kitchen equipment repair and maintenance as well as sewage systems
• Meet daily with the supervisor to discuss daily duties and instructions
• Daily Maintenance through out the lodge
• Additional duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and clean Drivers Abstract to be provided
• Valid WHMIS Certification is mandatory, First Aid Certification is an asset
• Remote Camp experience is Mandatory
• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised
• Strong with prioritization and time management
• Ability and willingness to travel/work long rotations away from home
