Job summary

Aramark Remote Workplace Services in Timmins, ON is hiring a Janitor for a brand-new lodge opening near Chapleau, Ontario, offering a 14-on/14-off rotation and 10–12 hour shifts. Transportation is provided from Timmins, and meals and accommodations are provided on site.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, safety, and guest service across all lodge areas, stocking supplies, and adhering to WHMIS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check completed.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Driver's Abstract required.
• Current WHMIS and 4 Step Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a culture focused on safety as a core value.
• Meet daily with the Lead Housekeeper to discuss tasks.
• Thoroughly clean and maintain all lodge areas including floors, entrances, washrooms, and more.
• Ensure guests receive superior customer service.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and inform Lead Housekeeper when supplies are needed.
• Distribute cleaning supplies to bunk houses.
• Store chemicals safely per WHMIS and HSE guidelines.
• Empty and disinfect garbage cans and take trash to the designated location.
• Keep entrances, boardwalks, and walkways clean and hazard-free.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in emergency procedures.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

Exciting opportunity! ARAMARK Remote Workplace Services is hiring Janitor for a brand-new remote lodge opening near Chapleau, Ontario at the end of November. Join our team and play a key role in launching this exciting new operation.

About the Role

The Janitor are responsible for keeping the overall cleanliness and sanitization of the lodge. Janitors could be supporting in other areas of general cleaning of the lodge.

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable and responsible for maintaining a culture focused on having Safety as a value
• Meet daily with the Lead Housekeeper to discuss daily work and cleaning assignments
• Thoroughly clean and maintain all areas of ARWWS facilities, including but not limited to: floors, front entrances, hallways, washrooms, recreation rooms, office complexes, boot rooms and utility rooms
• Ensure guests/clients at site receive superior customer service
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and advise Lead Housekeeper of supplies needed
• Receive and distribute cleaning supplies to bunk houses
• Ensure all chemicals and cleaners are safely stored in proper storage containers and areas by complying with WHMIS and HSE guidelines
• Empty and disinfect all garbage cans, this includes take the garbage out to the appropriate location
• Keep entrance, boardwalks, and all other areas clean, clear of snow, and hazards
• Shall attend all safety meetings and participate in Client and/or Aramark Emergency Response Procedures
• Additional duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers
• Adaptable to guests’ needs

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
