Aramark is opening a brand-new remote lodge near Chapleau, ON, and seeks a dedicated Janitor to maintain cleanliness across the facility. The role supports a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation with 10–12 hour shifts, benefiting from meals and accommodations on site and a comprehensive benefits package.

The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning, stock supplies, and adhere to WHMIS/HSE guidelines while delivering superior guest service to lodge clients and visitors.

Qualificações

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive guest service demeanor towards guests, clients and co-workers.
• Adaptable to guests’ needs.

Responsabilidades

• Accountable and responsible for maintaining a culture focused on Safety as a value.
• Meet daily with the Lead Housekeeper to discuss daily work and cleaning assignments.
• Thoroughly clean and maintain all areas of ARWWS facilities, including floors, entrances, halls, washrooms, recreation rooms, offices, boot rooms and utility rooms.
• Ensure guests receive superior customer service at site.
• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and advise Lead Housekeeper of supplies needed.
• Receive and distribute cleaning supplies to bunk houses.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaners are stored safely following WHMIS and HSE guidelines.
• Empty and disinfect garbage cans and manage waste disposal.
• Keep entrances and boardwalks clean, clear of snow, and hazards.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in Emergency Response Procedures.
• Additional duties may be assigned.

About the Role

The Janitor are responsible for keeping the overall cleanliness and sanitization of the lodge. Janitors could be supporting in other areas of general cleaning of the lodge.

Job Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and maintain all areas of ARWWS facilities, including but not limited to: floors, front entrances, hallways, washrooms, recreation rooms, office complexes, boot rooms and utility rooms

• Ensure guests/clients at site receive superior customer service

• Keep inventory of cleaning supplies and advise Lead Housekeeper of supplies needed

• Receive and distribute cleaning supplies to bunk houses

• Ensure all chemicals and cleaners are safely stored in proper storage containers and areas by complying with WHMIS and HSE guidelines

• Empty and disinfect all garbage cans, this includes take the garbage out to the appropriate location

• Keep entrance, boardwalks, and all other areas clean, clear of snow, and hazards

• Shall attend all safety meetings and participate in Client and/or Aramark Emergency Response Procedures

• Additional duties may be assigned

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
