Job summary

Northern College is seeking a dedicated maintenance‑staff member to support our campus infrastructure in Timmins, Ontario. The role involves operating grass mowing and snow removal equipment, performing routine repairs, and assisting with general building maintenance and moves.

We value reliability, basic reading/writing/arithmetic skills, and a collaborative approach within a respectful, team‑oriented environment. This is a full‑time position with pension‑eligible benefits.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school education, or equivalent.
• Three years of practical experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Operate grass mowing machines and snow removal equipment.
• Perform daily minor repairs of a semi-skilled nature to buildings and grounds.
• Perform general maintenance tasks such as building cupboards, installing locks, notice boards, painting etc.
• Undertake minor repairs to equipment.
• Assist in moving supplies and furniture.
