Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) in Sudbury is recruiting a Non-Ferrous Receiver for our Sudbury South location. Under Site Manager supervision, you will maintain the yard, move materials, assist with loading/unloading, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards in all weather conditions.

Ideal candidates bring forklift experience, familiarity with metal recycling, and reliable, team-oriented work habits. This full-time role offers hourly pay, overtime after 44 hours, benefits, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Forklift experience required.
• Experience in metal recycling is an asset.
• Microsoft Office experience is an asset.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Customer service experience preferred in retail settings.

Responsibilities

• Sort, move, and organize materials throughout the yard.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Support equipment operators and yard personnel as needed.

• Sort, move, and organize materials throughout the yard.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Support equipment operators and other yard personnel as needed.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned.

• Experience in operating a forklift
• Experience in metal recycling as asset
• Experience with computer software and Microsoft office suite an asset
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
