American Iron and Metal in Montreal-East is seeking a General Labourer to join the recycling yard. You will actively participate in receiving, sorting, classification, and shipping of metals while supporting daily site operations.

This temporary full-time night-shift role emphasizes hands-on work, teamwork, and safety in a dynamic industrial setting with opportunities to learn equipment handling and metal processing.

The successful candidate will actively participate in the receiving, sorting, classification, and shipping of metals, while contributing to the smooth daily operations of the site.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fieldwork, varied tasks, and teamwork. We are looking for a reliable, proactive individual who is comfortable working in an industrial environment where health and safety are a top priority.

What you will be responsible for :

• Sorting and inspecting metals based on their characteristics;
• Identifying different types of metals and assessing their quality;
• Weighing materials and preparing receiving and shipping tickets;
• Loading, moving, and organizing materials;
• Using various tools and equipment;
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with health and safety standards;
• Performing any other related tasks to support daily operations.

Qualifications
