Ram Iron & Metal Inc. is seeking a dedicated General Labourer - Maintenance to safely operate forklifts and skid steers for material handling. You will support yard upkeep, perform minor repairs and painting, and assist with parts pick-ups and drop-offs in a fast-paced industrial setting.
The role requires physical stamina, outside work in various weather, and a focus on safety. Prior experience with scrap metal recycling is a plus, and training is provided for equipment.

Ram Iron & Metal is looking for a dedicated and experienced General Labourer - Maintenance to join our Team. The General Labourer - Maintenance, under the direction of the Lead Hand, Service Maintenance will be responsible for the safe operation of our forklift and skid steers for material handling, as well as assisting with various housekeeping tasks. Additionally, they will be required to assist our Parts Runner with pick-ups and drop-offs of items of commercial and industrial nature, perform minor repairs and painting of metal containers and bins, and use pressure washers to clean equipment, machinery, and vehicles.

The successful candidate must be able exhibit exceptional problem-solving abilities and always fit for duty. The General Labourer - Maintenance is expected to have the ability to learn and assist in several aspects of our daily operations such as maintenance and cleanup activities of the yard, and executing the daily tasks required to maintain our heavy equipment, bins and property. The job may involve exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, and other industrial elements.
The working environment is busy and fast paced, with regular and ongoing interactions with colleagues, management, and the public at large. There may be frequent interruptions, and from time to time be noisy. The employee must have knowledge of how to manage their own personal safety under these conditions.
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to be able to lift up to and including 50lbs, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and reach with arms/hands. Walking, walking up/ down stairs , standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items is occasionally required.
