Resilient Structures in Tilbury, Ontario is hiring a General Labourer for our manufacturing facility. You will support daily production by preparing materials, operating equipment, inspecting products, and finishing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift or lift-truck experience.
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
  • Overhead crane experience is an asset.
  • Experience safely using drills, saws, grinders, routers, and nailers.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Able to work with metric and imperial measurements.
  • Capable of lifting 30 kg repeatedly and standing for long periods.
  • Comfortable working in hot, humid environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and team orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily manufacturing processes such as filament winding, mandrel preparation, fiberglass handling, drill and cut operations, extractor crane support, and module preparation.
  • Prepare poles, modules, and customer orders for shipment by completing cutting, drilling, nesting, packaging, and other finishing work.
  • Set up and operate production machinery in accordance with established procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and sealing.
  • Inspect incoming materials, products in progress, and finished goods to confirm quality requirements are met.
  • Report product quality issues and support the Quality team with testing, inspections, and documentation.
  • Safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material‑handling equipment once properly trained and certified.
  • Maintain organized material‑storage areas and a clean, safe, and productive workspace.
  • Use hand and power tools safely while completing assigned production tasks.
  • Cross‑train in different areas of production and assist other departments when needed.
  • Contribute to lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards.
  • Complete additional related responsibilities as assigned.

About the Position

Resilient Structures is currently seeking a dependable and motivated General Labourer for our manufacturing facility in Tilbury, Ontario.

As part of our production team, you will contribute to daily manufacturing operations by preparing materials, supporting equipment operation, inspecting products, and completing finishing activities. What You’ll Bring

  • Basic ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Ability to work with metric and imperial measurements
  • Capacity to repeatedly lift 30 kg or more and remain standing for extended periods
  • Comfort working in hot, humid, and changing manufacturing conditions
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a team‑oriented approach
Work Conditions

This is a physically active manufacturing position involving regular standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive movement. Employees work near industrial equipment and moving machinery and may occasionally handle chemicals used during production.

The required PPE may include gloves, respirators, and other protective equipment based on the assigned work area or task.
