Job summary

Britespan Building Systems Inc. in Ontario seeks a skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate specialty machinery, perform assembly tasks, and ensure quality through basic inspections and precision handling of materials.

You must have secondary education and a forklift certificate; prior experience in metal fabrication and tools operation is preferred. The role requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary Education or Equivalent.
• Forklift Certificate (may be obtained through employment).
• Knowledge of hand/power tools and ability to operate equipment such as band saw, forklifts and hand tools.
• Able to operate machinery; copper, plasma punch, tumbler.
• Able to inspect parts for quality assurance.
• Able to perform basic math problems.
• Operate forklift moving a variety of materials.
• Grinding and other fabricating processes.
• Excellent time management & attention to detail.
• Physical strength for manual material handling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels of necessary production parts.
• Load and unload material from machinery.
• Responsible for maintaining the integrity of programs, fixtures and tooling.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear all PPE required for the job.
• Quality assurance of parts made.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Keep work area clean, orderly, and safe.
• Inventory activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking.
• May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
• Programming and overall equipment operations.
• Comfortable in a fast paced working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hours: Monday - Thursday 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM

Shift Premium $1 on base rate

Position Summary:
