Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions in Canada is seeking a Plastics Forklift Operator to join our team, supporting manufacturing operations with forklift duties on site. You will load and move materials, supply lines, and ensure safe handling of products in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year forklift operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Valid forklift license/certification (Counterbalance required).

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment per safety guidelines.
  • Load, unload, and transport goods and raw materials throughout the facility.
  • Supply production lines with required raw materials in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine inspections and report defects promptly.
  • Maintain proper stacking, storage and organization of materials and finished goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in accordance with established safety and operational guidelines
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Load, unload, and transport finished goods and raw materials throughout the facility
  • Supply production lines with required raw materials in a timely manner
  • Remove finished product from production lines and place in designated storage areas
  • Perform routine inspections on forklifts and equipment; report defects or maintenance needs promptly
  • Handle materials carefully to prevent product damage and maintain quality standards
  • Ensure proper stacking, storage, and organization of materials and finished goods
  • Conduct weekly line sanitation as scheduled

    Education / Skills / Experience Required:

    • Minimum 1+ years of proven forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (required)
    • Valid forklift license/certification (Counterbalance required; Reach/Walkie considered an asset)
    • Experience operating heavy material handling equipment in a fast-paced production setting is an asset
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
    • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
    • Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks and priorities
    • Reliable with strong attendance and work ethic

    Pay Rate: $24.46/hr to start
