Job summary

Triple M Metal LP invites applications for a production-yard role in Canada. The position involves inspecting, grading, sorting and processing ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, maintaining order, and breaking down materials to spec. You will input codes/weights, prepare tickets for customers, and ensure quality while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in production, warehouse or landscaping.
• Forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
• Successful candidate will undergo a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, grade, sort and process ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.
• Maintain an orderly work location to meet goals.
• Break down commodities to required sizes per specs.
• Input material codes and weights into the computer system.
• Complete yard tickets and provide them to customers.
• Process materials by commodity, removing non-conforming material.
• Provide exceptional customer service.

Compensation:

• $21.16 per hour

When:

• Days Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

What’s Expected:

• Performs the inspecting, grading, sorting and processing of ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap metals.
• Maintains work location in orderly condition in order to achieve operational goals and objectives.
• Break down commodities to the required size in accordance with the specifications.
• Use computer system to input material codes and weight.
• Completes yard tickets and provides ticket to customer.
• Process materials by breaking them down by commodity and removing all non-conforming material.
• Provides exceptional customer service.
• The successful applicant will be subject a criminal background check.

What's Required:

• 1 year of experience working in a production, warehouse or landscaping environment
• 1 year of experience operating fork lift or skid-steer (bob-cat), preferred but not required
