Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a friendly General Helper for a hospital café in Kingston. You will assist with daily operations, prep hot and cold items, operate the cash register, stock supplies, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

This casual, on-site role offers flexible shifts, competitive hourly pay, and the chance to develop customer-service and food-service skills within a global team.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold food items according to recipe and portion standards
  • Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately
  • Restock food, beverage, condiments and retail merchandise as needed
  • Maintain Compass Food safety, sanitation and infection prevention measures.
  • Wash and clean dishes, workstations
  • Monitor food temperature and accurately record food safety documentation
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Frequent bending and lifting.
  • Ability to work in hot and cold preparation environments.

How You Will Make An Impact

We are a busy café located in a hospital setting and are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused team player to join our team in a casual position. In this role, you will assist with the daily operations of the café, including preparing food and beverages, operating the cash register, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, restocking supplies, and ensuring our customers have a positive experience.

We are a busy café located in a hospital setting and are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused team player to join our team in a casual position. In this role, you will assist with the daily operations of the café, including preparing food and beverages, operating the cash register, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, restocking supplies, and ensuring our customers have a positive experience.

The hourly wage for this role is $17.60. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards offerings will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. As a General Helper, You Will
