Job summary

How you will make an impact:

We are a busy café located in a hospital setting and are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused team player to join our team in a casual position. In this role, you will assist with the daily operations of the café, including preparing food and beverages, operating the cash register, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, restocking supplies, and ensuring our customers have a positive experience.
The hourly wage for this role is $17.60. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicablepaytransparencylegislation. As a General Helper, you will:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Prepare and serve hot and cold food items according to recipe and portion standards
• Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately
• Restock food, beverage, condiments and retail merchandise as needed
• Maintain Compass Food safety, sanitation and infection prevention measures.

• Monitor food temperature and accurately record food safety documentation
• Excellent customer service skills

• Frequent bending and lifting.
• Ability to work in hot and cold preparation environments.
