Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a General Helper to prepare, present and serve meals and drinks, ensuring quality and presentation in line with safety standards.

The role pays $17.75 per hour, with final compensation based on skills and experience; candidates should be able to work at multiple stations, assist with food prep, and maintain sanitation.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in team setting.
• Good command of English (verbal and written).
• Previous food service experience is an asset.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lb.

Responsibilities

• Conduct work in accordance with safety standards.
• Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu, answering questions.
• Prepare coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino.
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Ability to work in various workstations including meal distribution area (packaging).
• Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Food preparation and cooking as needed

The hourly wage for this role is $17.75. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
