Job summary

COMPASS GROUP CANADA seeks a Multi Skilled Worker to support daily operations in a healthcare setting in Timmins, Ontario. You will perform housekeeping, assist with food preparation, serve meals, and manage dishwashing while maintaining cleanliness in resident areas and kitchens.

Candidates should hold a Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent, with prior housekeeping or food services experience considered an asset. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset.
• Healthcare environment or long-term care experience preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Follow health & safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards to the supervisor.

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
