Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support daily operations in our healthcare-focused facility. You will perform housekeeping, food service support, meal delivery, dishwashing and general cleaning in resident rooms and common areas.

Responsibilities include setting up and cleaning spaces, maintaining public areas, following health and safety guidelines, and coordinating with the supervisor on incidents or emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset.
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English, verbal and written, and ability to follow instructions.

• Follow health & safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards to the supervisor.
• Be the first point of contact for the community, answer the phone, respond to resident medical emergencies, and coordinate with emergency services as needed.

How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents rooms and common areas.
• Assist with set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing, laundry and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Maintaining clean public areas such as washrooms, hallways, dining room, removing garbage and recycling.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management
• Be the first point of contact for the community, answering the phone, responding to resident medical emergencies. Co-ordinating with emergency services 911 as neccessary.

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred

• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
