Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education in Burnaby, BC is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support daily operations with housekeeping, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing in a healthcare setting. You will work both independently and as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and service standards.

Valid Food Handler Certificate is required; prior housekeeping and food service experience is an asset, with healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
