Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support daily operations in a healthcare environment. You will perform housekeeping, assist with food prep, serve meals, deliver trays, and maintain kitchen cleanliness, contributing to resident comfort and safety.

The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team, strong English communication, and adherence to health and safety guidelines. A Food Handler Certificate is preferred if available.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or food services is an asset.
• Healthcare or long-term care setting experience preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good command of English, both verbal and written, and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform housekeeping and maintain cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and report injuries or hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

How you will make an impact:
You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.


• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.


• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent


• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset


• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred


• Able to work independently and as part of a team


• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
