Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Multi Skilled Worker to support daily operations in a care setting. You will perform housekeeping, assist with food preparation, set up and serve meals, and handle dishwashing to maintain a clean environment.

Candidates should have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent, with experience in housekeeping or food services. Ability to work independently or in a team and communicate in English is essential.

Job description

The hourly wage rate for this position is $18. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. How you will make an impact:

You will be responsible for supporting our daily operations with a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, and dishwashing.

As a Multi Skilled Worker, you will:

• Perform housekeeping duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Assist with food preparation, set up and cleanup of chairs & tables, serving meals, delivering trays to residents, dishwashing and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Perform duties according to health & safety guidelines, report all injuries and hazards to the supervisor immediately and other reasonable requests from management

About you:

• You must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous housekeeping and food services experience is an asset
• Previous experience in the healthcare environment or long-term care setting is preferred
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
