We are looking to hire a General Clerk - Accounts Payable position in our Finance department.
You will be responsible for monitoring and verifying the electronic Invoice Account to ensure all invoices received by appropriate staff and as required to avoid duplicate payments. In addition, you will be required to track email stats by period, average and annually, comparing summaries from previous years for all invoices received while redirecting emails to appropriate staff members for payment status requests or inquires, including adding or changing rules. Process distribution corrections for expenses charged to incorrect accounts.
The incumbent will also receive physical internal/external mail for Accounts Payable, scan physical invoices and save as a PDF, add the AP approval stamp and upload into appropriate AP Coordinator’s folders in the shared drive.
As the General Clerk, Accounts Payable, you will coordinate the section’s records management, which involves organizing boxes for storage, completing the necessary forms, ensuring records are retained according to by-laws and maintaining associated records to facilitate retrieval.
