Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard for the gatehouse in Oshawa, Ontario. This part-time role covers Saturday and Sunday shifts, focusing on monitoring entry points and security systems to deter threats.

You will respond to incidents, document events, and collaborate with local authorities as needed. GardaWorld offers training, flexible schedules, and uniform provisions to support a reliable security team.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification - asset / required.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and checkvisitoridentification.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies.
