Job summary

GardaWorld in Collingwood, Ontario, is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard for our Industrial unit. You will monitor security systems, perform patrols, and control access, bringing sharp observation and reporting skills to a dynamic security operations environment.

This part-time role offers weekend shifts (Saturdays & Sundays 08:00–20:00), an hourly wage of CAD 20.39, and training through GardaWorld Academy with clear paths to growth into a full-time position. Uniform provided at no cost.

Qualifications

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification required.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they elevate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays (08:00 - 20:00)
