Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard to monitor security systems, perform foot patrols and report incidents in Sudbury, Ontario. This full-time temporary role requires sharp observation, attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly to threats.

You'll be supported by GardaWorld Academy for ongoing education, receive a vehicle premium and uniform, and have growth opportunities within a global leader in security.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada and hold a valid security license.
• First aid certification is required.
• Must have reliable vehicle access for work use.
• Strong report-writing skills and attention to detail.
• Good eyesight and ability to stay focused during shifts.
• Comfort with technology and security systems.
• Able to stand and walk throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and detect suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document events with detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure premises safety.
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor IDs.
• Analyze security systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Coordinate with law enforcement in emergencies.

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they elevate in environments such as security operation centres , call centres, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Position type: Full-time (temporary, until December 31, 2026)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:30)

Location: P3E 3A3
