Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a part-time Gatehouse Security Guard in Toronto. You will monitor security systems, control access, and respond to incidents with a sharp eye and clear reporting. The role offers weekend shifts and on-site work at a gatehouse environment.

The position requires a valid security license, WSIB First aid certification, and a clean driving record (G2). Uniforms are provided, and GardaWorld supports ongoing education and career growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Document observed events and incidents with detailed reports.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure premises safety.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitor IDs.
• Analyze security systems to identify vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in emergencies.

Ready to suit up as a Gatehouse Security Guard

What matters most about a role like this is your sharp eye, capturing every detail as you scan a series of screens. Your strong observation skills with attention to detail are your greatest strengths.

As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centres, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities for Gatehouse Security Guard

• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies

Qualifications for Gatehouse Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid security license
• Hold a valid WSIB Approved First aid certification
• Strong report writing skills
• Must have G2/G driving license with Clean driving Abstract
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
