Job summary

bp is seeking a Natural Gas Scheduler to ensure smooth flow across our gas network. You will work in the Gas and Power Operations team within the Supply Trading & Shipping group, contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred).
• Quick learner with strong attention to detail and commercial focus.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Make natural gas nominations to Canadian region pipelines using pipeline/storage EBB systems.
• Supervise and track imbalances on pipelines/LDCs.
• Communicate market intelligence to trading teams.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization across scheduling teams.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve operational or scheduling issues quickly.
• Maintain and update supply and nomination data in gas management systems (Endur).
• Build and maintain relationships with pipelines, LDCs, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify operational risks and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Partner with Settlements, Accounting, and Commercial teams to reconcile invoices and support month-end settlements.
• Participate in rotational weekend and holiday coverage.
