Job summary

Superior Propane Inc. is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Midstream Optimization & Analytics to bridge operations, logistics, commercial, and analytics. You’ll analyze data to uncover trends, build forecasting tools, and deliver actionable recommendations to boost margins and optimize product movement.

You will collaborate with Commercial, Supply, Logistics, Operations, and Accounting to solve complex challenges, driving automation and scalable data solutions with Power BI, SQL, VBA, and related tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the midstream oil and gas sector, supporting operations, commercial teams, logistics, NGL marketing, supply optimization, or business analytics.
• A track record of finding and implementing opportunities that improve profitability, efficiency, or business performance.
• Strong understanding of midstream operations, NGL markets, commercial processes, and supply chain dynamics.
• Advanced technical skills in Power BI, SQL, VBA, Power Query, and Excel, including building sophisticated models and reporting solutions from multiple data sources.
• Experience with RightAngle or another ETRM platform is required.
• Exposure to Azure, Databricks, Python, or modern analytics environments is considered an asset.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and build credibility across technical and non-technical teams.
• A naturally curious, analytical mindset and a drive to continuously improve how work gets done.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, optimize product flows, reduce risk, and create commercial value across our midstream and NGL business.
• Analyze operational, commercial, and market data to uncover trends, insights, and actionable recommendations.
• Build and maintain forecasting models, analytical tools, and reporting solutions that support key business decisions.
• Partner closely with Commercial, Supply, Logistics, Operations, and Accounting teams to tackle complex business challenges.
• Support NGL pricing analysis, market intelligence, and supply-demand assessments.
• Develop dashboards, automated reports, and scalable data solutions using Power BI, SQL, VBA, and related technologies.
• Translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for stakeholders and leaders across the business.
• Drive automation, process improvement, and continuous innovation through data and analytics.
