Canadian Natural Resources Limited is seeking a Gas Marketing Analyst in Calgary, Alberta. The role focuses on market insight, analytics, and optimization of gas supply and transportation decisions to support trading activities.

You will engage with Trading, Operations, Finance, and Regulatory teams, build forecasting models, and help shape pricing strategies in dynamic energy markets. A degree and 1–3 years in energy markets are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Economics or Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in energy markets, gas supply, trading or analytics.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; good Excel, Power BI and data modeling ability.
• Solid understanding of natural gas market fundamentals, logistics and regulation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to support trading decisions.
• Assist contract management and optimization of gas supply/transportation agreements.
• Develop models to forecast demand, capacity, and pricing scenarios.
• Collaborate with Trading, Operations, Finance, and Regulatory teams on gas marketing strategies.
• Prepare regular reports on market activity, portfolio performance, and risk exposure.
• Stay informed on regulatory developments and assess impact on activities.
