Job summary

The Peace River School Division invites applications for a full‑time temporary Generalist Teacher at Fairview High School. The assignment runs August 27, 2026 to June 30, 2027 in a grade 7–9 setting, with duties assigned by the Principal.

Fairview High School serves grades 7–12 and emphasizes both academic and non‑academic courses, with a strong focus on differentiated instruction, classroom management and effective use of technology to support student achievement.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or training in teaching junior high level grades.
• Excellent communications skills with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success.
• Proven ability to differentiate lessons to support students’ achievement.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A keen understanding of assessment practices.
• The ability to use technology to support learning in the classroom .

Job description

The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for aFull-Time (1.0 f.t.e.) Temporary Generalist Teacher atFairview High School. This position will commence on August 27, 2026 and continue to June 30, 2027. The initial assignment will be assigned by the Principal in a grade 7 - 9 setting.

Fairview High School offers complete programming for grades seven though twelve. Our schools programming covers both academic and non academic courses coupled with a large variety of electives. Junior high students are offered Industrial Arts, Home Economics and French as well as Art and Computer programs. Fairview High School is fortunate to have partnered with Northwestern Polytechnic (NWP) - Fairview campus to offer the senior high students the opportunity to use the new fitness center in Phys. Requirements:

• Must hold or be eligible for a validAlberta Teaching Certificate.

This teaching position falls under the Collective Agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.

Annual Salary Range: $ 66,520 to $ 112,451 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division).
