Job summary

Chinook’s Edge School Division invites applications for a full-time temporary teaching position serving our Sundre school communities (Sundre High & River Valley), effective immediately to June 30, 2027. The successful applicant will hold a valid Alberta Teacher Certificate and will provide screenings and MTSS-based support for middle and high school students.

• Demonstrated expertise in foundational literacy and numeracy intervention frameworks.
• Deep understanding of executive functioning, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), and emotional regulation strategies tailored for adolescent learners.
• Proven track record of supporting diverse learning profiles and neurodivergent students across grades 7–12.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted, small-group interventions to address specific learning gaps in middle and high school settings.
• Conduct initial screenings to identify lagging skills, establish baseline data, and continuously monitor student progress and growth.
• Design and implement Multi-Tiered Systems of Support offering specialized, individual-focused programming.
• Utilize screening tools and targeted assessments to establish baseline data, systematically track student progress, and document measurable skill growth.
• Monitor multi-tiered intervention outcomes using structured data-tracking systems to evaluate strategy effectiveness and inform instructional adjustments.
• Maintain detailed progress records to measure growth in foundational skills, support individualized goal-setting, and report outcomes to key stakeholders.
