Responsibilities

  • Implement innovative, student-centered teaching practices aligned with the Teaching Quality Standard to ensure high-quality learning environments.
  • Design and deliver the Alberta Programs of Study while differentiating curriculum for diverse learners in an inclusive Kindergarten setting.
  • Cultivate relationships with students, families, and the Fort Chipewyan community to support student success and well-being.
  • Weave local history and Indigenous perspectives into daily learning to reflect and celebrate every student in the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with school staff and multidisciplinary teams to maintain a welcoming, safe and respectful environment for all.
  • Maintain competencies and professional standards required by Alberta Education; contribute to school growth and success at Athabasca Delta Community School.

We currently have a Probationary/Continuing available in an inclusive classroom setting. The specific grade-level assignment will be determined by the principal.
