Qualifications

• Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.
• Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assisting with instrumental activities of daily living such as light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition to the healthcare team.
• Providing assistance with mobility and safe transfers.
• Assisting with eating and drinking, following dietary requirements.
• Medication reminders and administration under supervision.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Assisting clients with instrumental activities of daily living such as light housekeeping, meal preparation
• Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team
• Providing assistance with mobility and transferring patients safely
• Supporting patients with eating and drinking, adhering to dietary requirements
• Assisting with medication reminders and medication administration under supervision
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients
• Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Compassionate and empathetic demeanour
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to speak and write in English. Other languages will be an asset.

Requirements

• Current registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry
• Completion of a recognized Health Care Assistant program
• Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant in a healthcare setting (minimum 1 year)
• Negative TB test completed in the past 90 days
• A negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 days
• Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
