Job summary

Community Living Greater Sudbury is seeking a full-time Direct Support Professional for our SISU house in Ontario. The role focuses on advocating for others, collaboration, and person-centered support with a G license, enabling independent work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Developmental Services diploma or related field of study.
CPR and First Aid Certification.
Covid-19 Vaccination (Preferred).

Responsibilities

Locate appropriate services for clients according to needs and preferences.
Interview clients to determine services needed and eligibility.
Determine eligibility for social services programs and refer to the proper agency.
Monitor time frames for services and document when goals are met.
Provide consistent, person-centered support in home and community settings.
Utilize ABA-informed and Trauma-Informed strategies to promote positive behaviour.
Support emotional regulation and sensory-based coping strategies.
Encourage community inclusion, meaningful routines, and acceptance-focused goals.
Collaborate with clinical and support teams to implement individualized plans.
