Job summary

Community Living Greater Sudbury is seeking energetic, motivated part-time regular direct support professionals (56 hours bi-weekly, 64 hours guaranteed). Qualifications

• Developmental Service Worker Diploma or related field of study
• G Class Driver's License
• CPR & First Aid Certification
• COVID-19 Vaccination (Preferred)
• Bilingual in English/French preferred
• Two Step TB Test
• CPI training is an asset

Responsibilities

• Provide support for individuals to set and reach personal goals.
• Assist individuals to participate in community activities including educational, recreational, and religious events.
• Assist with personal care including medication administration, bathing, skin care, and hygiene.
• Prepare nutritious meals and maintain a clean, safe home environment.
• Support development and maintenance of social and personal relationships.
• Provide information to support informed decision-making skills.
• Complete daily reports and documentation; assist with medical follow-up as needed.
• Promote the organization’s mission and values in the workplace and community.
• Assist in implementing behavioural support plans and skill acquisition programs.
• Support individuals displaying risk behaviour using non-violent crisis intervention strategies.
• Advocate for participants’ rights, dignity, and protection from harm.
• Complete data collection and documentation as required.
