Karis Disability Services in the St. Thomas area, Ontario, is hiring a Direct Support Professional for permanent part-time flex work. You will support people with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities, helping with daily living and community participation.

This role requires access to reliable transportation and combines flexible schedules with on-site work. Preferences include 12 months of experience and related post-secondary education; CPI and behaviour support plan

Qualifications

• Access to reliable transportation
• 12 months experience preferred
• Experience with Behaviour Support Plans (BSP) and CPI techniques
• Experience in Supported Independent Living model preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist people with developmental disabilities in daily living and community activities
• Support rights to direct their life and personal growth
• Help individuals learn and practice new skills for independence
