Job summary

THE MANCHESTER YOUNG PEOPLE'S THEATRE LIMITED in Manchester is seeking a Casual Duty Manager to join our Front of House team. On shift you will be the public face of Contact, ensuring excellent customer service and the welfare of all building occupants.

The role involves security duties, first aid, emergency procedures, and coordinating Event Hosts during events. This is a zero hours contract with ad hoc shifts, including days, evenings and weekends, through December and into the new year.

Qualifications

• Experience in a public-facing role delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as Duty Manager on shift, lead safety and security of the building.
• Manage key-holding, opening/closing, alarms and fire route checks.
• Act as First Aider on site and document incidents.
• Be main contact for fire authorities and police when necessary.
• Oversee Event Hosts on shift to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with event delivery and reporting (Day/Show Reports).
• Prepare space for rehearsals, hires and meetings.
