Job summary

Aviva Canada is seeking a Front Line Leader in the Property Claims team to guide a team of frontline claims handlers. The role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes within a hybrid work model that requires at least 50% in-office presence.

You will develop talent, drive performance through data insights, and collaborate across teams to improve claims processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and risk controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of claims or insurance experience with strong Property Claims knowledge.
• 1-2 years of supervisory or people leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop technical claims expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience with data and analytics to drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation and development of frontline claims handlers.
• Coach, develop, and retain talent; provide timely feedback.
• Identify opportunities and collaborate across teams to improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
• Own team results and communicate clear outcomes and expectations.
• Support change initiatives and business transformation.
• Partner with frontline employees to improve performance and customer experience.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and continuous improvement programs.
